The Athens Regional Library System adheres to the law on Copyright. It is not our responsibility to inspect the use of the copier or AV duplicators by our patrons – but we as a profession must exercise due caution about this issue. Copyright law in the U.S. permits “fair use” of material. Fair use generally means private, non-commercial or educational use. But, it is also qualified by other factors including how much of the material is used and whether it can potentially harm the copyright owner’s market.

Use only public domain clip art and abide by the restriction of this law.
